Resection of mammary glands in men

Three-dimensional Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is known as the pathological enlargement of one or both mammary glands in men. It can be caused by genetic or environmental reasons. In our institution we opt for carrying out a mixed protocol, in which we combine the extraction by lipoaspiration with ultrasound and through a small scar around the areola we proceed to dry up the excess mammary gland. Results are seen immediately.

Types of anesthesia: It is a short surgery that can be done with local anesthesia and sedation.

Disability: The disability because of a gynecomastia can be of approximately 5 days to a week to resume normal activities. Exercise can be resumed on the fourth week and exposure to the sun should wait two to three months.

Approximate surgery time: 1 - 2 Hours.
