Before/After

Breast Implants

Augmentation Mammoplasty

Considered the second most practiced surgery in the world after liposculpture, it is a surgery to lift, give volume and improve the shape of the breast through the use of breast implants. This surgery involves an incision around the areola or sub-mammary crease located in the lower part of the breast. The patient can breastfeed without a problem after this surgery.

The implants we use are approved by the FDA and have a lifetime warranty for breaks and a 10-year warranty for encapsulation and delayed seroma. The provider will deliver implants at no cost with the same specifications if any of the aforementioned cases occur. However, this does not mean that they can remain inside the body forever. Changing implants is recommended after 10 years.

Types of anesthesia: Normally general anesthesia is used, although in some specific cases local or combined anesthesia can be used. This is an outpatient procedure that lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Disability: Patients should abstain from physical activity for two months, from driving and strenuous activity for at least 20 days. The augmentation mammoplasty requires at least 5 days recovery time in order to resume activities such as school or office work. In case of work that requires more strenuous activity, lifting, fieldwork, driving, etc., the recovery time should be increased. Any activity can be done, even exercising after 8 weeks without restriction.

Approximate surgery time: 1 - 2 hours.
